Few marginalised groups suffer such egregious violations of the right to housing as do persons with disabilities, according to a new UN special rapporteur report.

Across the world those with disabilities face isolation, stigmatisation and discrimination in all aspects of housing, often putting their lives in peril.

The report recommends governments urgently address the issue of homelessness among the disabled and guarantee that all people with disabilities have access to adequate housing.
